The second of our lovely customer reviews talks about shop favourite, Goth Girl and the Ghost of a Mouse by Chris Riddell. It comes again from Caroline – one of our most prolific readers, Caroline is a regular visitor to the shop, and can always be relied upon for some GREAT recommendations! She even knows of great little gems that we’ve never heard of…

Like the rest of the Rogan’s Books Team, Caroline is a big fan of Children’s Laureate, Chris Riddell. Chris first visited Bedford in July last year, to take part in BookTastic, the Children’s Book Festival.

He then returned to open Rogan’s Book on 24th October last year, earning himself a place both in our hearts, on our bookshelves, and on our ‘Must Buy’ lists…

Chris clearly left an impression, as did his Goth Girl series – here, Caroline tells us about just why she loves Ada Goth…

I was ecstatic when this book was part of my English homework! It possesses a mysterious beginning, and exciting adventure and a happy ending, just what every story should have! This book has an extremely high chance of becoming a classic.

Thank you, Caroline, for your lovely review. Caroline has another Chris Riddell review up her sleeve, and her next piece will be on his ‘Ottoline’ series… Stay tuned, as Chris’s latest book in the Ottoline series, ‘Ottoline and the Purple Fox‘, is out next month!
