Description

This is the Bear is a picture book written by Sarah Hayes and illustrated by Helen Craig which tells the story of a boy, a dog and a bear who are best friends. One day, the bear gets lost and the boy and the dog have to search everywhere to find him.

This pocket-sized ink illustration is an original artwork from the book, showing the bear calling to his friends from the rubbish dump, hoping they will find him.

NOTE: This piece was a ‘live’ illustration that was modified by the publisher for final inclusion in the finished book. There is a ‘white-out’ mark covering a line that wasn’t used in the published story (picture included).
