Written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Charlotte Voake, The Further Adventures of the Owl and the Pussycat is a picture book that revisits the title characters from Edward Lear’s poem and finds out what happened to them after they went to sea in a beautiful pea-green boat.
This is an original, unpublished artwork that was developed for the title page of the book. Designed in ink and watercolour, this one-off illustration shows the Owl serenading the Pussycat beneath a heart-shaped bower.
